About Finholm Architects

Finholm Architects, Inc. has been in Aspen since 1968 designing every facet of mountain-sited architecture. These facets include diverse experience in planning and designing hotels, condominiums, sports facilities and highly customized residences in many of the western states, mostly in Colorado. Our firm has planned, designed and completed hundreds of successful projects that incorporate historic preservation, "green" technology, energy efficiency and landscape integration. We integrate the exposed structural elements to be consistent with the architectural style. In the last 15 years we have specialized in custom residences ranging in size from 2,500 to 15,000 square feet.

The style of residential architecture we design varies from very rustic to contemporary. We enjoy designing different styles to coordinate with the personal tastes of the owners. Our primary goal is to design a structure with which the homeowners feel most comfortable, perfectly accommodating their needs. The latest technology available is used such as audio-visual entertainment, high-speed communications, heating/cooling and lighting.

Our firm is comprised of a talented staff of professionals varying from 4-7 persons. Having a small staff allows us to work personally on projects. Our design and construction work includes computer generated drawings, digital photograph communication, 3-dimensional models and complete jobsite follow through. Our architectural fees are specific to each project and are competitive.
